Finding Euphoria returns after four years of growth to its home at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. This time around, it is a one-day camping festival that will be occurring on May 12th, 2018 with a camping-only pre-party on Friday, May 11th and access to the campgrounds May 11th-13th. Camping spots are limited so you do not want to miss out on your chance to stay at the beloved Ranch. In the meantime, Festival Squad has compiled a list of exceptional artists that you should consider checking out at the festival.
Slovenian born DJ/ producer Denis Jašarević, known by his stage name Gramatik, headlines this year’s Finding Euphoria Festival. His interest in music began at the tender age of three when he would listen to his sister’s jazz, funk, soul, and blues cassette tapes. As he grew older, he was introduced to the hip-hop culture through artists such as Dr. Dre and DJ Premier, which led him to start producing hip-hop tracks. Jašarević began sharing his tracks on Beatport, helping him gain a following in Europe and the United States. He signed with his first US agent, moved to New York City, and released his debut studio album Expedition 44 in 2008. Shortly after releasing his first studio album, Gramatik signed to the Pretty Lights Music label. In 2013, he left Pretty Lights Music to establish his own record label named Lowtemp Recordings. Some of his well know single include “You Don’t Understand,” “Native Son,” and “Recovery.” You do not want to miss this trip-hop king’s headlining set!
EDM duo Hippie Sabotage, consists of brothers Jeff and Kevin Saurer. The brothers hail from Whittier, California and have performed with the likes of pop superstars Ellie Goulding and Tove Lo. One of their most popular hits is their rendition of “Habits (Stay High)” by Tove Lo. They have also earned the #1 spot on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart.
G-Jones is a bass music producer from Santa Cruz, California. He has worked with EDM artists such as Bassnectar, Bleep Bloop, and The Widdler. His 2015 track entitled “Krabby Patty Secret Formula” put him on the map and since then, he has released massive genre-defying tracks such as Warrior (with Eprom) and Phalanges (with Bleep Bloop.) G-Jones has received support from artists such as Zeds Dead, DJ Shadow, and Pretty Lights. We look forward to catching his mystifying set at Finding Euphoria.
Patrick Cybulski, known by his stage name k?d, is an electronic musician and DJ from Miami, Florida. His single “Lose Myself” featuring Phil Good gained recognition on the US Billboard Dance/Mix show when it debuted at the #40 spot. He is also well known for his remixes of popular EDM tracks such as “Doin’ It Right” by Daft Punk. Cybulski has also done collaborations with EDM artists such as Wolfgang Gartner (“Banshee”) and Rezz (“Fourth Impact”).
mau5trap signed artist Iman Marouf, better known by his stage name Blackgummy, joins Finding Euphoria’s lineup this year as a special guest. He is best known for his dark industrial/techno style of music and can be easily recognized by his logo which is a black bear idol. Marouf grew up listening to artists such as Nirvana, Gessafelstein, Bach, Sublime, and Cirez D. He is a graduate of the Icon Collective production school in Burbank, California, where he linked up with mentor and producer Steve Duda who has worked with big names such as deadmau5, Skrillex, and Nine Inch Nails. Blackgummy is a dark techno force to be reckoned with so make sure to catch his set at the festival.
